Saint Francis of Assisi

St Francis is collecting paper towels to support Camp Halo this year and we need to have them by the end of May. You may bring them in anytime before the end of the month. If you bring them on any other day than Sunday, please place on the second pew on the right in church. Monetary donations are gratefully accepted too.  Any questions, please see our Love Inc. rep, Brigitte Chase.

Camp Halo began in 1999 with 20 children “camping out” in a backyard for a weekend. Since then, we have grown to five weeks of camp, averaging 140 children per week, so that 700 children are able to attend. Camp Halo provides a week of camp, free of charge, to under-privileged children ages 6 to 15 from the southern Erie and Warren County area. The camp is a safe-haven for many of these children, over 75 percent of who have experience some form of abuse in their home environment. Camp Halo provides campers with three nutritious meals a day (plus snacks), school supplies, school clothes, hygiene products, Bibles, and quilts.
